OUR DIFFERENCE

Corporate Social Responsibility

We see the law and our business as tools of social engineering and as such, we are committed to using what we have in our hands to achieve maximum positive impact in our communities. We believe that by investing in our environment, our staff, and our communities, we are enabling and securing the future for the coming generations. Our corporate social responsibility strategy is focused on three core areas, i.e. pro bono legal services, charitable giving, and continuous legal education.

It is a well-known fact that a vast majority of the Nigerian populace cannot afford quality legal services, which in turn hinders access to justice. To tackle this issue, we have created a recurring pro bono budget which allows the Firm to take on a limited number of advisory and litigation matters to represent indigent persons.

Our pro bono practice has recorded success in several litigation matters including, CA/K/247A/C/2017 Ma’aruf Tukura v State; CA/K/247B/17 – Abubakar Yusuf Dantaguwa v State; and CA/K/247/CM/2014 Lawal Saidu v. State.

Our pro bono review committee undertakes a review of pending pro bono applications in June and December of each year. Applications for our pro bono legal services can be sent to info@matrixsolicitors.com.

We make it our duty to support charitable causes targeted at meeting the needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged persons in our communities. Some of the worthy causes we throw our weight behind include those focused on child protection, education at all levels, and supporting disadvantaged communities and groups.

Our Firm accepts undergraduate and graduate interns from universities and law firms within and outside Nigeria. Our internship programmes are immersive and ultimately helps the interns to broaden their understanding of the Nigerian legal system. Our Partners also facilitate sessions at seminars, programmes and courses.
